Alanna M. Blalock, a licensed attorney in the state of California, proudly serves as the co-founder of Blalock Dye Law, LLP. Her journey in the legal arena commenced at the California Desert Trial Academy College of Law, where she earned her juris doctorate in 2017.

Throughout her academic and professional voyage, Ms. Blalock’s commitment to the legal profession has remained unwavering. During her tenure in law school, she distinguished herself by assuming the role of a Certified Law Clerk, entrusted with the responsibility of handling high-profile homicides and criminal defense trials. Her dedication to legal excellence continued post-graduation as she ventured into diverse areas of law, including criminal defense, employment and labor law, and business law.

Ms. Blalock has effectively represented clients in a diverse range of employment-related issues and has skillfully navigated complex PAGA litigation, wage and hour disputes, and discrimination claims, consistently delivering favorable outcomes for her clients. Her legal expertise also extends to the successful representation of employers in administrative proceedings before key agencies such as the California Department of Industrial Relations, the California Division of Occupational Health and Safety, and California’s Civil Rights Department (formerly known as the Department of Fair Employment and Housing).

Ms. Blalock’s dedication to the community is equally commendable. She initiated Project #180, a transformative mock trial program designed to guide at-risk teenagers away from a life of crime and potential involvement in the juvenile justice system. Her unwavering commitment to this initiative is evident through her tenacity in securing grants, her hands-on role as an “attorney-coach,” and her generous volunteer efforts. Additionally, she devotes her time to tutoring students at the California Desert Trial Academy College of Law, assisting them in preparing for the California First-Year Law Students’ Examination and the California Bar Examination.

In a heartwarming testament to her community spirit, Ms. Blalock, alongside Ms. Dye, extends a helping hand to needy children at a sober living facility during the holidays, spreading joy by delivering presents and brightening their festive season.

Outside the legal arena, Ms. Blalock treasures quality time with her life partner, Jon-Marc Blalock, and their four children. Their family life is a tapestry of activities, from cheering on their high school football player to celebrating their college-bound children’s achievements, and even sharing in the excitement of middle school dances with their twin daughters.

Complementing her legal career, Ms. Blalock serves as a respected law professor at her alma mater, where she imparts her wealth of knowledge in Business Law to aspiring legal professionals.
